"Training
is our life blood", and just like in every other profession, we too
must stay up to date, we too must continue to improve, we too will
continue to train and strive to improve towards being the best we can
possibly be every time we walk onto a field.
During each and every
general meeting, some segment of time will be devoted to an aspect of
umpire training. Topics will vary and be appropriate for the level
of fastpitch we are working. Should you have any suggestions or
particular interests or ideas, please feel free to pass them along to
the Board. Be sure that you welcome with an open mind the
continuation of "umpire training" as it can only help to make
you better.
Remember, "The
players, coaches, and fans expect you to be perfect. While perfection is
not possible always, let's work toward excellence... You can be an
excellent umpire through training."
